Starting my admission process

To start your admission process you will required a referral from your treating GP, psychiatrist or a referral from another hospital addressed to Re-centre at Waratah Private hospital.

Please send your referral to recentre@waratahprivate.com.au and our Intake Coordinator will contact you to complete an over the phone assessment. The assessment takes between 30-45 minutes, is free of charge, confidential and obligation free. During the assessment we will complete a health fund check and discuss any out of pocket expenses with you. Your intake co-ordinator will be able to answer any questions you may have.

This assessment will allow our clinical team to make a recommendation on which program is best suited for your circumstances and history. The admission date and a treating psychiatrist to oversee your treatment will be allocated to you post assessment.

What are the fees involved?

Our intake coordinator will contact your private health fund, workers compensation or DVA to ensure you are covered as an inpatient in or mental health facility

If you currently hold private health insurance, have served your standard wait period but do not currently hold Mental Health cover, you’re now able to contract and use it on the day as per an incentive provided by the Australian Government.

Self-funded admission is also available, please contact our intake coordinator on 1800 RECENTRE (732 368) who will organize a quote for your admission. Self-funded patients are required to pay 10 days upfront and any doctors and medication fees.
