Young Hearts’ Day Program

Designed for participants aged 65 and over, and facilitated by our clinical psychologists, the program uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to address anxiety and mood experiences. The twelve week program looks at the impact such emotional concerns and experiences have on activity, sleep, social lives, relationships and health as we age. It promotes healthy lifestyles and change across half or full day sessions.

Outcomes

The program helps participants to gain understanding around emotional and mental experiences and create awareness to reduce the risk factors of psychological distress and memory concerns. Participants will gain mind tools and strategies for mood management and adapt a healthier lifestyle.

Along with attending the group, participants will have individual sessions to construct their own wellness plans where required.
