The new mental health facility sees people able to attend day programs and for people to stay as an inpatient in the purpose-built 31 bed accommodation, all developed to address the growing need for mental health services in our community.
“As a purpose-built environment, Re-centre will deliver an unrivalled and holistic offering where people can thrive with the latest mental health innovations in psychotherapies and treatment, backed by a leading mental heath team.” said Jason Penberthy, General Manager at Waratah Private.
“We’re holding true to out commitment to create a positive impact in our community, and in doing so, we utilise our existing world-class facilities, including supportive specialties, allied heath, gymnasium and hydrotherapy pool, right down to nutritious menus, ease of transport and on-site secure parking.”
Re-centre’s leading team consists of specialist psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists and qualified mental health nurses, all passionate about empowering people with emotional issues and persisting mental health experiences.
Programs are built around addressing clinical disorders with best practice and proven techniques, including anxiety and panic, depression and mood, addictive behaviour and substance use, adult ADHD, eating disorders, phobias and PTSD to name a few.
Patients can be referred to Re-centre through their GP, therapist, or psychiatrist. For self-referral, call 1800 RECENTRE (1800 732 368). Referrals are triaged by a mental health nurse where admissions are allocated based on individualised needs for exceptional people-centred care.
Re-centre is recognised by the majority of Australian health funds , however, individual cover may vary depending on your policy. The Australian Government mandates that patients with limited cover for mental health treatment can upgrade their hospital cover to access higher benefits without serving a waiting period.
