Sydney surgeon and educator, Dr Ruben Cohen-Hallaleh specialises in breast, endocrine, and general surgery. With a special interest in oncoplastic breast surgery, Dr Cohen Hallaleh maintains an aesthetic approach to both benign and cancerous breast conditions, applying the latest reconstructive techniques to preserve natural form and shape during the one procedure.

He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014, and received his Masters (ChM) in General Surgery from the University of Edinburgh in 2017. Dr Cohen-Hallaleh’s international experience includes a Clinical Surgical Oncology Fellowship at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, UK, and a Breast & Endocrine Surgical Fellowship in Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand.
He has completed post-fellowship training in association with BreastSurgANZ (Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand) at Bankstown-Lidcombe, and St Vincent’s Hospitals.
Dr Cohen-Hallaleh specialises in clinic-based cryoablation treatment for destroying fibroadenomas as an alternative to surgery. Cryoablation uses extreme cold to completely destroy the fibroadenoma and is performed under local anaesthetic. This means: NO general anaesthetic, NO scars, NO post-operative pain.
