Dr Narainraj Kamalaraj is an expert rheumatologist dedicated to the conscientious and compassionate care of patients with both acute and chronic forms of arthritis, autoimmune disease and musculoskeletal conditions.
Having moved to Australia from Sri Lanka, with his family, aged three, Dr Kamalaraj’s formal education and medical degree took place primarily in Sydney, graduating with Honours at UNSW. He completed his Masters of Internal Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
Fascinated by the field of Rheumatology, Dr Kamalaraj is actively involved in research. As founder and director of The Arthritis Rheum, his specialist clinic is a continuum of his care across arthritis, autoimmune issues and musculoskeletal conditions.
He specialises in joint, tendon sheath and bursae injections and aspirations, chronic neck pain interventions (including medial branch blocks and radiofrequency ablations), and workers’ compensation injury management. Dr Kamalaraj also treats pain, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis and Gout. As well as Lupus, Scleroderma, Sjogren’s syndrome, Vasculitis and Myositis.
