Dr Gavin Soo is an Australian Orthopaedic Surgeon with a subspecialty interest in advanced arthroscopy in shoulder and elbow surgery, shoulder replacement, knee surgery and complex trauma surgery. His extensive training includes surgical fellowships across the globe focusing on all facets of shoulder, elbow and trauma surgery.
Dr Soo earned his medical degree at the University of New South Wales and completed his Orthopaedic Surgical training in Sydney.
Dr Soo completed an AOA fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery in Sydney followed by further advanced training with fellowships in France and Switzerland. With a passion for trauma surgery, he also completed a trauma and reconstructive surgical fellowship in Berlin, Germany.
Dr Soo has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings. He continues to perform clinical research in an effort to deliver the most advanced and proven patient care possible.
Dr Soo has spent time doing volunteer work as an Orthopaedic surgeon in East Timor.
Passing on his passion for his chosen field, Dr Soo is a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at the University of NSW.
