Associate Professor Sam Adie specialises in hip and knee reconstruction surgery at St George SportsMed. Sam graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales. He completed his orthopaedic training in Sydney followed by Fellowships in prestigious centres at the Universities of Toronto (Canada) and Oxford (UK). He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Sam also has a busy academic practice – with two Masters degrees and a PhD from UNSW. He has published in the most prestigious medical journals, and won multiple awards with competitive funding of ~$5million for his research into joint replacement and orthopaedic trauma.
He is also an orthopaedic trauma surgeon at St George Hospital, a Level 1 trauma centre where he is often referred complex cases from across the state.
Sam and his team always strive to provide skilled, evidence-based care with empathy and compassion to their patients.
