At Waratah we are committed to delivering high quality patient care using the latest technology, equipment, and facilities in modern and comfortable surroundings.

Our hospital performs a wide range of diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures and in recognition of its expertise and dedication to quality.

We are a 120+ bed hospital that provides comprehensive surgical, medical, rehabilitation and mental health services. As one of the most technologically advanced hospitals, we are proud to have 6 state-of-the-art operating theatres, modern patient rooms, ample on site parking and full diagnostic facilities together in one building.

In 2021, voluntary private mental health services will be added within the clinical service offerings across a 31-bed inpatient ward on level 5 that is supported by outpatient day programs on level 2.

Specialists operating at Waratah are required to meet and maintain credentialing standards, and our nursing staff are actively encouraged to follow a professional development pathway to maintain high standards.

Private healthcare allows choice, flexibility and access to specialists who use the latest techniques in treatment. You are free to nominate your specialist and can expect your consultation and treatment in a timely manner without waiting list restrictions. Early treatment and intervention is often pivotal in ensuring the best outcome for patients.

Waratah Private Hospital is accredited by ACHS against the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards (NSQHSS). The ACHS undertakes a comprehensive standards review and consultation process every three years. This ensures that hospital standards, policies and procedures remain current, are achievable and continue to reflect best practice and evidence. Accreditation is public recognition by a health care accreditation body of the achievement of accreditation standards by a health care organisation, demonstrated through an independent external peer assessment of that organisation’s level of performance in relation to the standards.
